In Focus: Virginia and Beyond from a Photographer’s Perspective

Locally popular landscape photographer Jack Cacciatore will be C’ville Arts Cooperative Gallery’s featured artist during the month of April.  He will be at the gallery on April 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the Historic Downtown Mall’s event.

There is a quiet vibrancy to Cacciatore’s work that clearly shows his respect for dazzling light and brilliant color, generating not just a depiction, but a photograph with a striking texture.  This dedication to his craft produces images that allow hay bales in a farmer’s sunny meadow to possess the same dignity as the Rotunda of Mr. Jefferson’s university on a snowy night.

While the grandeur of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall or the tranquility of the Gardens at Monticello in the spring are a staple in Cacciatore’s portfolio, he does not neglect the wonders to behold around the world.  Whether his camera is directed at the children of Bali or the Inner Harbor in Buenos Aires, Cacciatore always captures the sheer essence of his subject.  To view more stunning photographs, visit his web site at www.jcphotos.com.

“It’s exciting to see our local landmarks and beautiful rural landscapes so vividly rendered in Jack’s work,” said Amy Melville, administrator of C’ville Arts Cooperative Gallery.  “Visitors frequently come into the gallery looking for a piece of art to remind them of their trip to our area, and they often choose one of his photographs to fulfill that desire.”
