The Mettle of the Metal Artist Metal jewelry artist Jayme Driver will be C’ville Arts Cooperative Gallery’s featured artist during the month of February. The artist will be at the gallery on February 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the Historic Downtown Mall’s First Friday event. Driver’s jewelry, fashioned from sterling silver, copper, brass and rusted steel, retains an understated finish that captures the innate quality of the element. Each piece is created to exemplify nature’s attributes through a variation of textures and treated surfaces. ![]() There is a captivating edginess to her work that clearly demonstrates Driver’s respect for her medium.
